Meet Dave Deberry

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Dave Deberry. Dave was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented La La Musiq.

Dave, can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Hi, I’m Dave DeBerry a.k.a. Dave (Super Dave ) DeBerry. I am an American Music Award winning/8.5, platinum producer, former record exec, and media creator. I started out as a roadie for the Iconic group WHODINI. I interned at Def Jam under Lyhor Cohen & Russell Simmons. My 1st music moment was adding the Mary Mary by the Monkee’s sample to the hit U Be illin (1st producer moment). This led to being a part of Rush management/A & R for RCA. While touring in Dallas and meeting Tommy Qoun, an artist discovery led to the birth of Vanilla Ice. Ultimately, we produced major hits for the artist which got us AMA’s. I also was a scout and signed Dallas production icon Darell DeLite Allamby which got us Grammy nods for ‘What’s It Gonna Be’ by Busta Rhymes & Janet Jackson under his 2000 watts company. The web is currently repurposing all our hits LOL love it. I’m the owner of CampDavidMedia.one as a consultant, digital film and music production house. We also service as independent A&R for Planet HumRecords/Universal records. If you need a short film for full length feature and a vettable project funded. I am an advocate for creator’s large platform or small. It’s in my DNA! I am a big fan of the talent pool of DFW and whatever I can contribute to folks’ success I’m here for it. Paying it forward is what you’re supposed to do. It’s all a loan. So, when a talent like La La Musiq needs a little guidance and is motivated, success is definitely in her future as in indepedent artist. Please tell us more about your brand, Camp David Media

Here at CampDavidMedia.One we are a COMPLETE media company if you have a musical need. We are staffed by Multi-Platinum Producer Dave DeBerry. We also produce small live events such as weddings, anniversaries, quinceaneras, 50^th anniversaries, corporate presentations etc. We provide film with network certified cameras upon request or situation withstanding (cost extra). We also provide audio with Jack Wright (formerly of Fox News ) with clients from Michael Jackson to Glenn Beck. Jack was a former audio segment producer for The Five & Neil Cavuto show, and he has audio chops lol. We also produce Podcast at a cheaper rate and also produce music and film. We have Elite photographers (Vogue magazine), graphic design ( FX TV), and animators (FX Tv) on staff. Private serious inquiry only. What we’re doing as a company is being a champion of the little guy, because they will someday be THE BIG GUY. Hopefully, our contribution towards our client’s success will build a long-standing relationship. We have facilitated deals on every media/streaming platform. We are here to see folks be blessed as other have seen us be successful for over 40 years plus and still going. We are situation specialist the same way we produced film/music for Netflix or Nationally recognized Bands. We put that same effort on the entrepreneurial thinker based off of our experiences. For these continual blessings, we are most proud.

So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by La La Musiq and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with La La.

La La Musiq is the perfect example of what an artist is, she is a risk taker. As former commercial Record A&R the rule of thumb is most audiences do not want what they already have. I approached La La Musiq after seeing her perform at an event with RnB icons Silk (I worked with them for 2000watts ) and also with Actor Brandon T .Jackson. Even amongst talent like that her light shined in that environment. So, I approached La La with my writing partner Dwayne Pugh (Producer/Vocalist on Netflix End of the road) about possibly doing a song together. The collaboration birthed the song ‘Dim My Light’ an anthem about pushing through the doubters’ mine fields of discouragement. No one can dim the light of the purposefully intended creatives of the creator. Everybody is great at something, that’s what their purpose is for. Being inspired by that energy and creative atmosphere, I asked if I could also shoot the video for the song. La La Musiq agreed to loan us her talent, being that it’s a gospel song it was already coming from a different energy. I wanted to do a female empowerment, given women “their flowers” type of video. I feel like gospel music doesn’t put our Queens in the forefront. Women are the anchor in the gospel community.
