Check Out Jocelyn Wykoff’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jocelyn Wykoff.

Jocelyn, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Oh, what a journey it has been! My path to founding Kiss It Jane has been paved with a little bit of fate, a whole lot of determination, and countless moments of laughter (and tears.)

After noticing a repeated need in the communities I have served, the desire to empower others and make a real difference in their lives led me to explore the world of entrepreneurship in order to help business owners break down barriers, such as cost & accessibility, to be able to focus on growth and achieve their dreams.

Kiss It Jane is a perfect blend of my love for creativity, connection, and making the world a better place – all with a touch of sparkle and always a hearty laugh!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No way! And, I can honestly say, if it had been, I don’t know that I would appreciate it as much as I do today. The road to Kiss It Jane was filled with many lessons, ‘bouts with confidence and insecurity, and the lack of time and money to really accomplish my vision. Oh, and did I mention challenges?!? Yep — LOTS of those.

It wasn’t until a happenstance meeting with Amy Whipple that I actually began thinking that my vision (my dream) could one day be a reality. She too was dipping her toes into the water with the Rise & Shine Mastermind Group and this is where I was surrounded by likeminded women who helped me to dig deep, uncover confidence and work out each piece of the puzzle meticulously to begin to form Kiss It Jane.

I now understand better that challenges are a necessary to grow; failures are necessary to grow; victories are necessary to grow; valuable resources are necessary to grow; victories are necessary to grow; a support system is necessary to grow…etc.

No wonder we get overwhelmed — it takes an army.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At Kiss It Jane, my mission is to be a marketing disruptor for ambitious entrepreneurs who are exhausted with the status quo and to serve as a beacon of guidance, offering valuable resources and accessibility, no matter where they find themselves on their business journey. I believe in empowering entrepreneurs through every chapter of their entrepreneurial story because every stage is a stepping stone towards achieving remarkable success.

I like to believe Kiss It Jane stands out from traditional business models in its unique approach to empowerment and accessibility. While many business services focus on specific stages of a company’s growth or target a particular sector, I embrace all ambitious leaders, no matter what stage of business they’re in. I’m passionate about providing resources that are not only valuable but also accessible, breaking down barriers that can often hinder progress. Plus, I infuse my services with a dose of fun, and flair, creating an experience that’s as enjoyable as it is effective. With Kiss It Jane, it’s not just about doing business – it’s about thriving in business together.

I want to be known as the ‘one’ who goes above & beyond, listens and understands the vision and goals, takes a ‘most beneficial’ approach vs. a giant blanket campaign — I want to be known as the ‘one’ who is different. The ‘one’ who’s not watching the clock during meetings and who knows more than your company name — tell me about you & your family.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I believe my dedicated faith has guided me on the path of lessons, circumstance, mentors, and the needed tools and discernment I needed to build endurance to persevere with the launching of Kiss It Jane.

Without it, I would have failed. Miserably.

In my opinion, marketing isn’t a ‘one size’ fits all — it’s fluid. It requires experience with hills and valleys, victories and failures, to be able to adapt with current industry climates. (It also requires lots and lots of reading and research)

Did I mention the SUPPORT of my family & friends?!? In addition to God, he has also blessed me with the most amazing support system that gives me honest feedback, cheers for me and cries with me, and would NEVER let me look like a fool (well, actually, this is up for debate — lol.)
