Today we’d like to introduce you to Becky Kiper.
Hi Becky, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The salt cave was originally built in 2018 and was operational under the previous ownership until March of 2022. The business owner/designer had to retire abruptly due to health issues. The new ownership took over on August first and we had our grand opening on September 1, 2022.
I had worked at Serenity Salt Cave and Healing Center prior to its closing and was grateful to be asked to come back to help reopen the space as Saltville Grotto & Spa. The new owner added several services, a bigger sauna, ionic foot detoxes, two salt water sensory deprivation float spas and two zero-gravity recliners (which are a staff favorite).
We aren’t like most spas. We promote more of a vacation relaxation vibe as opposed to an uptight and stuffy spa experience. We’re always a little behind on the schedule because you never know what traffic is going to be like trying to get to us. We’re located in the heart of Snellville, right where the two busiest roads intersect. We promise it’s worth the drive though. Our staff is caring, loving and attentive – we love nothing more than tucking our clients in for a lovely little rest.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Do we have time for this question? It has been a winding, curvy, up-and-down rollercoaster of learning experiences and shipping delays. Our float spas did not arrive for 6 weeks after opening and we were unable to complete construction of the rest of the rooms until they arrived. Every day brings us different opportunities and experiences with our clients and ourselves.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I think our customer service is what sets us apart from other businesses. The spa staff was chosen by their personalities and abilities. We are genuinely happy to see you when you come through the door and we want each of you to have the best experience that is possible. If you’re patient and trusting, we promise you will love your time at Saltville Grotto.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
We’re booking out groups and experiences weeks in advance. We host a variety of practitioners, healers, leaders, and alternative therapists and our calendar is constantly growing.
