Today we’d like to introduce you to Olivia Newell.
Olivia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My first pair of shears belonged to my grandmother who worked as a hairstylist in the 1940s. Being a multi-generation salon owner and stylist, starting at just 13 years old, I began my career in the salon world. You could quite literally say, I was born to do this.
At only 17, while on a trip to New York, I found my way to the SoHo Academy discovering L’Orèal Professionnel, where I watched the artists from outside in the snow. I knew this is where I needed to be one day, and that’s where it all began. My love for the hair industry became a passion & a career choice.
As a UGA grad and just shy of two decades, I have managed, staffed, trained and educated all roles in the salon industry. With a background in marketing and communications, it’s easy to see how Theory has earned Top Salon time and time again. Salon owner, hair and makeup artist, I not only enjoy making clients look and feel great but making them laugh behind the chair.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
“Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional.” – Roger Crawford

Her salon have been voted #1 salon for over 15 years. She earned Top 30 under 30 Entrepreneur Award as well as being Summit Salon Business and L’Orèal Professionnel Educator.
As an LP Educator, I host a positive and encouraging environment while creating a new level of standard for the company’s brands. While combining various skills from communication, and social media marketing to technicality behind the chair; I inspire and guide your salon to be accountable in taking your business to the highest level. Assist in elevating your clientele’s experience by producing consistent and above industry standard results. Training and educating are a genuine passions of mine.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
