Rising Stars: Meet Nox Bond

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nox Bond.

Nox, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
This all started with poetry. When I was a kid, I went through a lot of emotional stress, and I had to find a way to vent that, so I started writing. Writing evolved into free-styling and recording. Which branched into distribution and promotion and marketing due to necessity. I went from the kid on the corner in the cypher to the man who owns the record labels and the dj coalition. Poetry turned into freestyling on the corner that turned into going to a studio and taking myself more seriously. And then life started interfering, and I started meeting major producers like Rio Productions who was producing for Mike Jones and Nikki Minaj. And it was like, I would see him on the side of the road at his lowest point, and I would stop and give him a ride, and then he would end up taking me to his studio and providing beats for me and my crew, and linking me up with a label who allowed me to open for Gucci Mane and meet him back in 2008. And all of that was from stopping the car and helping someone.

So that’s been how my life has been, just doing good in the real world and then having it come back to me in the music industry. Another example, when my dad died in 2008, I went out to Florida and I was at Plush Studios and this guy with really dope energy heard me rap and asked if I could ghostwrite some stuff for him, fast forward to today and Aton Ben Horin is one of the top dogs in the music industry. I saw him break Danielle Brigolli, I saw him break a lot of people with Mike Caren, just having that insider knowledge of who the power players are and watching them work helped me absorb a lot of information and knowledge. They are the ones who are being Coi Leray, and now I am involved with Digiwaxx, the most well-known record pool in the industry, and we are doing conference calls with Coi Leray. You can’t make this stuff up. My personal relationships and my personal network is all based on me meeting people in Real Life in exclusive locations.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No. Not at all. Real Life is complicated. Before you can become successful, you have to first survive any obstacles that life throws at you. My life has been a tragic movie. From having my spine shattered as an adolescent and moving out of my house at the age of 14 to being in full-blown shoot outs at gas stations and being beaten to death by people who were supposed to be my friends when I wasn’t looking, My dad died from cancer in 2008, I beat a 160-year case in 2014. It goes on and on.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As an artist, I have 5 million streams and a lot of accolades. I’ve performed at hundreds of concerts, I’ve toured with Webbie and opened for everyone from Boosie to Kirko Bangz. I was stamped by Young Dolph, and I was stamped by Nipsey Hussle. I have had songs leaked with Chris Brown, Trippie Redd, and Mariah The Scientist, and they got picked up by Genius.com and Trippie Redd’s fan club. I’ve been on hundreds of blogs, mixtapes, and online radio stations. I won the 2023 Promoter of the Year in Atlanta through Yo Atl Raps. I own Next Level, which is the #1 DJ Coalition on Google. So the DJs are my fam.

I am most proud of my company and the impact it has on other people’s lives. When I add a new DJ or artist, and they get flooded with congrats and support for joining my organization, that is a moment of great pride.

My drive and motivation set me apart from others. I sleep but I don’t rest.

How do you think about happiness?
Hm. I haven’t found happiness. I would assume it’s love and family, but then I look at people I know who are married with families and they seem miserable. It’s not money. Money is empty. Money is a tool to be able to create forward momentum, but it won’t bring happiness.

I feel like performing makes me happy, and people acknowledge my skills or efforts. So validation makes me happy.
