Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Jefferson.
Hi Daniel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up in the metro Atlanta area, I always had a passion for film. I started creating short films on my phone and was amazed at how much I could do with such a simple device. When I went to Sprayberry High School, I realized that my love for film was more than just a hobby. I came up with the name Vandalism Productions and started to take things more seriously.
One day, I met one of my best friends, Cameron Miles, and we entered a film festival for Georgia State. To our surprise, we won the fan favorite award. That’s when we realized that the filming process was amazing and we wanted to keep writing and borrowing equipment.
I got an intern at AIB TV Network, and Cameron and I decided that we could do better. We started saving money by doing music videos and eventually bought our own equipment. We partnered with a director named Frederick Martin, and together we released our first feature film, Bosses, on Amazon Prime and Tubi. It became the most popular film on the platform for months.
We started going to network events and ended up doing work in Kevin Hart Studios as production assistants. We wanted to create our own feature film project, so we started writing Vandalism Production’s first feature called “For The People,” an action drama film soon to be released in 2024.
We just finished the sizzle version of the movie, which will launch us to where we want to be at. It’s been a long journey, but we’re excited to see what the future holds for us.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road, nowhere near! Some of the struggles as anyone would be financially, trying to get our big vision in our heads with the little money we had. But one of the biggest struggles we have right now is others not taking us seriously because of our Youth. Us being young, we have to try and prove to ourselves that we can make it with the people who have been in this field for over 15 plus years.
We’ve been impressed with Vandalism Productions, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My company is called Vandalism Productions, and people should know that Vandalism Productions is about breaking barriers in the ideology of Film. We specialize in writing, creating, and filming Cinematic Projects in movies, Tv, commercials, and Music Video projects. We believe that we can create projects without looking like the standard, predictable content. We are striving to not be like everyone else and create stories that are not the average stereotypical stories. We are most proud of how our brand is perceived one way, but our content shows greater! Everyone that is interested in knowing more about our Brand and services, just know that you may perceive vandalism as something insane, but what you will be getting is ART! All inquiries, email Vandalismproductions3@gmail.com.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
The only resource that I need to help me do my best in life is the Bible, and having a true relationship with Jesus by placing faith in his death and resurrection, through his word in the Bible, I know I can succeed in everything I do!
