Hi Rachel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey began over 15 years ago when I started my career in corporate America. Throughout my professional journey, I had the opportunity to work in both corporate environments and private tech companies, gaining valuable experience and insights along the way. One aspect of my work that particularly stood out was my involvement in the hiring process. I have reviewed countless resumes and interviewed numerous candidates for teams across various cities in the US along with countries like China and Argentina. During my time as a hiring manager, I noticed a recurring issue among many job applicants. A significant number of individuals either lacked a well-crafted resume or seemed unprepared and excessively nervous during the interview process. This observation struck a chord with me, especially as a mother with a daughter in high school who was preparing for college and the subsequent job search.
Motivated by a desire to make a difference and provide assistance to those struggling with this crucial aspect of their job search, I embarked on a new endeavor. I wanted to create a resource that could supplement the job search puzzle, specifically addressing the needs of students and young professionals who were just starting their careers. And so, EPOCH Resumes was born. EPOCH aims to empower job seekers by offering comprehensive resume services, LinkedIn optimization, interview preparation guidance as well ad education on the entire job search process. With EPOCH Resumes, I combine my years of experience in hiring and my understanding of the challenges faced by applicants to help individuals present their skills and experiences effectively on paper and perform confidently in interviews.
Since its inception, EPOCH Resumes has grown to become a trusted resource, assisting countless individuals in showcasing their unique strengths and qualifications. It has been immensely fulfilling to witness the positive impact I can have on people’s lives by equipping them with the tools they need to succeed in their job search.

For the most part, my journey with EPOCH Resumes has been relatively smooth. Given my background, I felt confident in my ability to provide valuable services to job seekers. However, like any entrepreneurial venture, there have been bumps along the way. One of the challenges I faced was the need to teach myself sales and marketing. While I had a deep understanding of the job search process, I realized that in order to reach and help a larger audience, I needed to expand my skills beyond resume writing and interview preparation. Learning about sales techniques, marketing strategies, and building an online presence required significant effort and self-guided education. Overall, the journey with EPOCH Resumes has been rewarding and fulfilling. The bumps along the way have allowed me to expand my expertise and continuously improve the services I offer. By embracing the challenges and committing to ongoing growth, I have been able to build a successful venture that positively impacts the lives of job seekers.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories was when I was able to go to work with my dad on “Take Your Child to Work” day. I was still very small, and I vividly remember the sense of awe and wonder as we entered the giant building where he worked. The bustling atmosphere, the towering walls, and the sight of professionals immersed in their work left a lasting impression on me. I knew deep down that I wanted to follow in my dad’s footsteps and pursue a career that allowed me to be a part of something bigger, just like he was. That experience set me on a path toward my own professional aspirations.
