Check Out Jackson Washington III’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jackson Washington III.

Jackson Washington III

Hi Jackson, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up in Miami, FL I learned to cook from my mom. She was always in the kitchen cooking up Southern comfort food, and I was always next to her.

From an early age, I got creative in the kitchen. I would experiment with some of the groceries before my mom could get to them.

I’ve now been cooking professionally for over 20 years.

Creating my brand, JW3 Kitchen, I specialize in Caribbean, Cajun & Creole cuisine and down-home Southern comfort food. In addition to catering, doing pop-ups, and providing personal chef services, I also have a line of JW3 Kitchen spices and sauces.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life brings obstacles. So through it all my faith in Jesus has helped me navigate through life and business challenges. I believe in allowing every obstacles/challenges to help develop me and my future. So, with losing my mother 25 years ago, failed marriages, failed business ventures. I’ve continued to “do the work”.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a Chef that specializes in creating comfort food with love. I’m known for flavor; food should be flavorful! I enjoy creating and contining to grow my business. It may sound redundant but my flavors set me apart. I present the food from my childhood in a flavorful, and palate-pleasing way.

With my business, JW3 Kitchen, I specialize in Caribbean, Cajun & Creole cuisine and down-home Southern comfort food. In addition to catering, doing pop-ups, and providing personal chef services, I also have a line of signature spices and sauces available on our website.
