Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
After spending the past twenty years as an international keynote speaker, author, c-suite consultant, business owner and an involved mom of two boys, I’ve witnessed first-hand the deep desire of busy executives, professionals, community leaders and parents to restore some balance to their lives while remaining highly dedicated to their work.⁣

I founded HUM Concierge out of the belief that we are at our best when we are undistracted and able to focus on who and what matters most in our lives. All we need is a little help.

The team here at HUM likes to say that we are in the business of “creating time” for our clients. By allowing us to handle life’s details that consume your calendar, you have more time to relax and concentrate on what fulfills you and brings you the most satisfaction.⁣

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh gosh. I don’t think being an entrepreneur is ever a totally smooth road. After closing my consulting practice after 20 years, I chose to learn a whole new industry. That comes with a learning curve and feeling the pressure to get inside operations set up quickly so you can get the business launched. Because I’m marketing an entirely new concept in Birmingham, part of my job is helping my audience understand what, exactly, a concierge and lifestyle manager is and how we can reduce stress and bring more balance to their lives. The response has been fantastic, so I feel like I’ve been drinking from a firehouse since we opened the doors in April. A great problem to have, and still a bit overwhelming.

Oh, I’m only supposed to pick one?! That would be tenacity. I’m a problem-solver by nature and I rarely give up until I’ve found the solution I’m looking for.
