Meet Downtown Atlanta Publicist: Tia Culver

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tia Culver.

Celebrity publicist Tia Culver is the founder of ATL EVENTS and Tia Culver PR LLC, a full-service public relations and strategic marketing company based in Atlanta. Founded in 2007, the company specializes in event planning, small business branding, public relations, internet marketing and social media marketing. Tia Culver is a public relations professional who has created comprehensive multimedia campaigns for several high-profile clients.

She has worked with an array of artists, producers, and entertainment industry taste makers including The Chronicle, Black Market Entertainment (Lil Jon, Vince Phillips, Searcy, and Rob McDowell), Lil Scrappy, Trillville, Crime Mob, Kool Ace, Baby D, Tex James, Born Immaculate, Nick Fury, LROC, Hittmenn DJ’s Montana White, The Coalition DJs, Ian Burke, Tashia Stafford and R&B great Tony Terry just to name a few. She has also worked with community radio 89.3fm (WRFG), Georgia State radio 88.5fm (WRAS), and People TV. Has it been a smooth road?
Some of the struggles I endured along the way include having a child at an early age, losing both of my parents in the same year and just being a woman in a male dominated industry.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see the Public Relations industry going in a technology driven direction with the use of mobile apps, social media and technology based changes.

Has there been a particular challenge that you’ve faced over the years?
The biggest challenge was to continue to educate myself by consistently learning latest trends and taking courses while working.

What advice do you wish to give to those thinking about pursuing a path similar to yours?
Education is the key but also networking with like minded individuals.
