Rising Stars: Meet Alysę Nicholę

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alysę Nicholę.

Alysę Nicholę

Hi Alysę, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Well, I think my drive and hustle come from playing basketball. I played for eight years and even wanted to play in college, but I kinda fell out of love with it. I dedicated my life to it because I really loved it in those moments of time, but I always have loved music and making money. I used to tell my dad I wanted to be like Magic Johnson and have my name on a 24-hour fitness gym or just blatantly be a business owner. I come from a family of entrepreneurs and black success, so I think it was just in me to want to continue that. I just learned that hard work pays off, and if you keep going, keep practicing… you will eventually become great at what you do, and people can’t deny it. They can either hate it or love it. The choice is theirs.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course. There still struggles I face internally and externally. I just like to win. I also don’t take no for an answer. I’m never going to back down or let others get in my head for too long because, at the end of the day, I’m doing this for me. I just happen to be in the public industry, and my life has to be in people’s faces in order to keep being successful.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Well to most, I’m the Boujie Queen, and to others, I’m Alyse Nichole. I’m your lit best friend from Los Angeles, Inglewood, California. I am just that good-vibes girl who makes quality music that makes people feel something. I think what sets me apart, besides being from LA, is my energy. I’m not a mean person, even though I think some may assume that once you talk to me, you’ll see that I’m pretty welcoming. I actually think being nice is a 50/50 shot with people because some people don’t like that I’m nice, and they were expecting me to be mean so they can find a reason to not like me, but in reality, they never liked me at all so I just stay doing me. I’m a female rapper that writes, sings, acts, and cannot dance. Hahaha. I think I’m most proud of myself, just still doing what I was born today. I’m living my dreams, and I’m still pushing higher and higher.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
There’s a lot of people! I want to shout out my team, family, Mom, dad, grandma, mentors, and friends. Some people I want to name are my producer/lover Chase A Million. You are the reason I have been able to thrive in this industry. With your help, I wouldn’t have been able to advance as quickly as I have in this industry, and I am so thankful for you as my teammate in music and in life. I want to shout out my Aunt Kiah and Uncle Jason for their contribution to my development, Georgia State for my business education, and anyone else that has met me so far on this Musical Journey. Oh can’t forget my music family, Y.O The Label in New York; I love you guys.
