Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelique Johnson.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My real estate career started in 2002. I got started in real estate when someone told me that I couldn’t pass the state test because it was too hard for them. So I had to prove them wrong! I completed the real estate course and passed the state exam on the first try! I had no intention on being a realtor until I made my first sale in 2004. I saw first-hand how homeownership changed people’s lives! It became a passion for me! Helping people to achieve homeownership! Something that some people feel is impossible; I helped to make it possible for them. In 2005, I wanted to further my real estate career and become a broker. I have been in the real estate industry for 20 years and counting. During my career, I have sold millions in real estate and now I have three partner agents as part of my brokerage, A. Johnson’s Realty & Co. located in Winder, GA.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been an easy road at all. Back in 2008/2009, when the market crashed, I took a break from real estate. It was becoming too stressful! At that time, I started another business, “Served by Angelique”, selling hair extensions. I put real estate on the back burner part-time. In 2019, I decided to get back into real estate full-time, and I haven’t looked back since!
