Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Prince.
Hi Brittany, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my skincare line because of my two sons Talon and Kadon. They both have eczema and this skin irritation was causing them to scar, and they expressed pain. I’ve tried so many products and taken them to a lot of doctor’s appointments for their issues. I do not play about my kids so believe me when I tell you not one prescription or over-the-counter cream worked. All that money and time with no results!!! I began to get frustrated for my boys so I started researching. One thing about me, I refuse to give up until the issue is resolved, no matter what it is. I found that certain plants could be used to aid in healing eczema. Lucky for me, I have a couple of esthetician friends who I reached out to for help and advice on skin, etc. I began making products, testing them out, and to my surprise, it started clearing my boy’s skin! I thought about all the other moms or individuals in general that have the same struggles, and Jeti’ was born.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a struggle for sure but nothing is perfect. I’m not a huge social media person. I check it out from time to time, but I rarely post. However, it’s something I’m trying to work on because it’s the only way I’ll be able to allow my business to flourish. I want to be able to help anyone I can so the struggle right now is getting out of my comfort zone.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I obtained my degree in Organizational Leadership (BAS) at Mercer University. I’ve also obtained three certifications (Human Resource Management Specialist, Management and Leadership Specialist & Business Development Management) at Gwinnett Technical College. If you’re wondering, yes I’m a nerd lol. My journey is business school allowed me to work for some of the top home builders in the US. As of today, I’ve climbed my way to Lead Operations Coordinator! I’m extremely proud of myself in general because I fought hard to become the woman I am today. We all have our own story so I’d say what sets me apart is my personal story and that I actually grow 75 percent of my ingredients (lemon balm, basil, thyme, lavender, etc.).
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
During Covid, I learned the importance of creating beautiful moments with the people that matter the most.
