Today we’d like to introduce you to Darius Stephens.
Hi Darius, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Long story short, I kept my faith in God, myself, and my family. I canceled what wasn’t needed around me, and I focused on the mission at hand. It’s been the best ten-year-plus journey.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing is ever a smooth road. If you want something that’s actually worth having, you will always run into a bump in the road. I’ve encountered many obstacles along the way, but I’m grateful for each of them. I’ve run into friendship problems, relationship problems, financial problems, etc. One problem that I never had was keeping faith and trusting in my work ethic.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an all-around creative. I mainly make music, and I also run a multi-media production company called “KhamenLenz. Media LLC”. I like to say I’m the first of my kind to do music and film. I feel like the way I express my music and the way I express my creative vision meshes well with my goals. I’m able to run a full-time production company as my passion and am gratefully able to fund my hobby, which is music. I enjoy the journey of a musician, but my passion is being creative.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Both has played a major role in my life. Times where I would think it’s bad luck turn out to be a good thing. God has a way of clearing space and making your surroundings more healthy for success. Yeah, it may suck in the moment, but that’s why “faith” is so important.
