Today we’d like to introduce you to Zephaniah Jones.
Hi Zephaniah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Think All Be All is a Creative Arts Incubator with the Vision and Mission of providing resources and creating opportunities for Creatives of all types. We’re glad you made it here and look forward to creating with and for you!
It is a space for growth and opportunity in both performance and education in the arts. Since 2018 we have been in pursuit of changing the way the arts look in our community, connecting the new and the old, and aiming to reimagine the possibility of what avenues creativity can take a person. The bulk of this effort has happened on a small scale, and as this year comes to a close, we are preparing for new and improved products and services!
As time has passed, the ability to share more of what we have learned here in Think All Be All has increased. As we partner with other organizations and businesses, the doors to our courses have opened! Our first class is Intro to Creativity and Music, which focuses on taking everyday practical ideas and introducing music to the mix, connecting the dots of thought processing and performance to express ideas, and overall taking creativity and music from theoretical to practical.
For the experienced creatives, we have returned our community project called Live Art Fridays! Creatives of all types are welcome to showcase, perform, and network among other creatives while experiencing what’s new in our community. This is also an opportunity for those who just love art to come and enjoy what talented people are doing to express themselves.
If you’d like to be a part of the festivities, the classes, and/or collaborate with us feel free to contact us on our website www.thinkallbeall.com!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road to becoming an active and integral piece of the community is never really a smooth path, but it’s all worth it! Some of the hardest challenges have to deal with the learning curve that I’m facing as a creative and an entrepreneur. For starters, knowing what you can and can’t do as a performer in the city posed some ups and downs because we really didn’t have a strong precedent for public performance the way that we have it now through the busking ordinance that has been brought to our city!
Learning the ends and out of business is a whole other beast, but again well worth the journey!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a Creative Entrepreneur, I have to specialize in an art form and master it as well as business… very broad as an answer, but essentially it means I’m constantly learning and applying the skills. To be completely honest this is or should be the approach to all areas in life. But to rethink the question a little differently I place an emphasis on learning community outreach and engagement, performance and education, and operating a business with people in mind.
I’m very proud of the relationships I’ve built and the people that I have helped as I traverse this journey into the next phases of life!
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Read and watch anything outside of the scope of what you do and see if there is a way to apply it to what you do. I’ve learned there are huge points for creativity by reading something like a phone book and applying that to music… something I plan to teach in the Intro to Creativity and Music class!
