Today we’d like to introduce you to Pablo VVS.
Hi Pablo, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Long Island, New York. I had moved to Atlanta in 2007. I fell into music when I had found out my mom was a poet. I liked the concept of storytelling, and when I figured out how to pair my words with beats, I couldn’t stop. I used to write in a notebook back in elementary just rhyming; then my confidence had built up to where I used to freestyle for my uncle and his friends at age 10-14 in the neighborhood; they saw my potential back then by the time I got to high school I was freestyling in front of anybody who was around whether it was a lunch table or a football game I didn’t record my first song until my junior year of high school it was trash of course but as the years went on my sound change my words made more sense the songs had stories my delivery became confident even till this day my music is growing and getting better I knew I had something special when my fans weren’t just local anymore.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing about life is smooth between hustling and being an artist while being a parent is tough, but I am used to making beneficial sacrifices with enough persistence. You can be whatever you want in this life, and so far in my life, I feel like I’m doing what I want to do now for me; it’s just about the exposure about me and my story and my music, especially when you know you have something special your doing you lose the motivation sometimes but it always comes back.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My music is my life; there’s really no other way around it like it doesn’t matter if it’s a lit song or a sad song you’re getting me. I don’t go into the studio, just reaching for anything like I can tell myself when a song isn’t it; that’s why I’m grateful for the people around. I don’t have yes, men everybody pushes somebody to be better like they can do better it just feels good to call myself an artist and have people really want to see you drop music like your art is actually being appreciated.
What matters most to you? Why?
My daughter matters most; not to sound cliche, but she does give her everything I didn’t have, whether it’s material or parenting wise when I found out she was about to be born, she lit a flame under me that still hasn’t went out it gives you a reason to be better and keep going.
