Today we’d like to introduce you to Dale Jones.
Hi Dale, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started in the Floral industry when I was 22. I went to college at ABAC for Landscape Design and discovered the love of arranging fresh florals. I opened my own shop in Downtown Clarkesville, GA shortly after college graduation in my hometown. We started small and slowly grew mostly in the wedding industry. Many years of small business trials and tribulations, but I always found a way to stay positive. My husband and I have are high school sweethearts with one child. With owning my own small business, I have learned that you have to be flexible, optimistic, and always “find a way”. Now, we are still going strong 13 years later.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
A smooth road would never be the word choice I would choose. Small business owners are built from another breed. I believe you truly have to be a little crazy to make this thing work. In one day, I could say that all of the human emotions are felt. Even through the crazy tribulations of business obstacles, there will always be the love of flowers and the flower business for me. I believe starting so young (22), I have grown up in the business where trends come and gone, and if you can stay on top of the trends and social media, then you will always have the upper hand.
We’ve been impressed with All In Bloom Studio, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
All In Bloom Studio, LLC is a full-service florist. We specialize in weddings and event designs. Our biggest portion of business yearly is the wedding industry, especially. I am the owner and lead designer. I have owned this business since 2010. We are located in the North East Georgia Mountains, where vineyards are common, and mountain views are in our backyard. I believe our little studio stands out because we focus on curating exactly what our Bride wants. She sees the vision, and we help execute how to make those dreams possible. Every Bride isn’t a Pinterest Bride; however, we can surely make every wedding Pinterest-worthy.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I personally follow LOTS of floral designers, floral shops, and master florists on all social media platforms. However, my personal favorite would be Intrigue Designs (Sarah Campbell). Most interesting floral shops that inspire me are European Floral Shop setups/designs/layouts/etc. I love this atmosphere the most because of the garden-like feel/look to all of their designs. The floral shops have a market feel that you just don’t see in Georgia.
