Exploring Life & Business with Edita Aranda Monsalve of Kitchen Cabinets – Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Edita Aranda Monsalve. They and their team shared their story with us below:

EDITA ARANDA MONSALVE

The story revolves around Edita Aranda Monsalve, an ambitious and determined individual from Lima, Peru, who pursued her dreams in the United States. Edita’s initially earned a degree in Architectural Drafting from the Metropolitan Institute of Technology. Her belief in perseverance, talent, and hard work led her to further her education in Interior Design at the Art Insitute of Atlanta. With this foundation, she founded her company Kitchen Cabinets-Atlanta LLC.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
“Forty years ago, like any immigrant, I started in the United States cleaning houses and selling flowers on the street to make ends meet. Along this journey, I also had the responsibility of raising my family. After leaving cleaning, I found work as a teacher’s assistant in a school. It was there that my colleagues and the teachers encouraged me to explore my artistic side and return to studying. Surrounding myself with people who influenced and supported me was a crucial factor. It opened my eyes to the importance of education, even with prior training in my home country. It took eight years, a double effort as I had to care for my children and my home, but I never gave up. Finally, after completing a degree that typically takes four years, I earned my title in interior design. However, upon graduating, I faced numerous challenges in my search for work as an interior designer. Being an older person and the language barrier were additional hurdles.

Despite it all, my prior experience in kitchen design with a prestigious design company provided me with valuable expertise. Adapting to a large company was not easy, but I did not give up. Looking back today, I can proudly say that every challenge and sacrifice was worth it. Now, as the founder and president of Kitchen Cabinets-Atlanta, I am committed not only to excellence in our service but also to building communities and supporting non-profit organizations. I am grateful for every step of this journey and for all the people who pushed me to surpass my limits.”

We’ve been impressed with Kitchen Cabinets – Atlanta, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Kitchen Cabinets – Atlanta has been in the kitchen and bathroom remodeling business for the past 16 years as an established company with an excellent track record for the best customer satisfaction.

The company has never compromised on the quality and services provided because Edita firmly believes in always surpassing her client’s expectations and providing them with great products at a very competitive price. Building Communities

Kitchen Cabinets-Atlanta believes in the urgent need to build communities, helping people and organizations to achieve all their potential.

A big part of the company’s vision is answering the growing need to promote and strengthen non-profit organizations, especially those related to children and the Hispanic population, such as Emprendedores Latinos USA, Giovanni’s Children Foundation and LISTA (Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association).

Kitchen Cabinets-Atlanta wants to be a driving force in helping to solve some of the most pressing social issues in our community, and Edita as its President is honored to be considered as a candidate to become a member of the GHCA’s Board of Directors.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
“From my perspective, every decision I’ve made throughout my life has been a risk worth taking. Emigrating to a new country, starting from scratch, studying for eight years while taking care of my family and home these are just a few examples. Each of these challenges has been an opportunity to grow and prove that with determination and hard work, barriers can be overcome.

I firmly believe that obstacles are simply opportunities in disguise. It’s been the challenges that have propelled me to reach my goals and build a successful company. Every closed door and every difficulty have been a lesson that has strengthened me and prepared me to face whatever comes in the future.

My perspective is that life is full of challenges but also opportunities to triumph. It’s not just about the achievements but the courage to take those risks and the learning that comes with them. I am grateful for every experience, as it has led me to where I am today, at the helm of two successful ventures. In addition to Kitchen Cabinets-Atlanta, I have embarked on another venture. Drawing from my extensive experience in construction and home remodeling, I saw the need to offer a comprehensive service to my clients. This perspective led me to obtain my Realtor license, enabling me to provide clients with a complete package for buying and selling properties after we renovate them.

I see this as an extension of my commitment to excellence and to meeting the diverse needs of my clients. It’s not just about transactions; it’s about creating spaces and opportunities that enhance lives and communities. I’m excited about this new chapter and the potential it holds for both my clients and my continued growth as an entrepreneur.
