Hi LaVetra, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Wow, where do I start? I have been in the speaking business forever and a day now. Lol!! Just a little over 13 years. I get my compassion from God; he restores and revives me every day. It’s like the energy is unexplainable. Let me just express to you that this was no easy journey and I’m still walking it. My best advice that I would give to someone who wants to do anything in life is to keep going and keep doing what makes you happy. For years, I battled with what I wanted and what the people wanted. Here’s the thing: I can only speak on what I have been through. If I have never been through it how can I speak on it or address this in front of others who have. It’s like making a mockery of myself. Naw that’s not me, I can only speak on what I have endured or where I have come from and if my method is effective for me and you think you are interested in trying my way, then please be my guest. I want everyone to win…… So I say all this to say you are in control of your future, get up and make it happen……..
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I am a risk taker, speaking in front of people is a big risk because you don’t know if they will like what you are talking about. So you definitely have to choose your topics wisely.
