Growing up in the era of 90s-2000s nostalgia, Music Videos were very popular. I was captivated by them, constantly daydreaming about stepping into their vibrant worlds or even calling the shots as the director. My imagination was always on overdrive, a testament to my boundless creative spirit.
When the pandemic happened, it wasn’t just a period of self-reflection; it was an opportunity for me to dive headfirst into my creativity and the field of videography, unlocking the doors to my long-held passion.
Armed with nothing but determination to chase my dreams. Countless hours of scouring YouTube tutorials led to the pivotal moment when I invested in my very first camera. From that transformative point forward, I collaborated with friends and family to create unforgettable memories and captivating visuals and, in the process, garnering invaluable experience that would shape my trajectory in the field.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With the huge support of family and friends, this journey has become a far more pleasant and straightforward experience. The path has been largely trouble-free, with only a couple of noteworthy obstacles. The first being procrastination. Overcoming this challenge required a greater sense of personal accountability on my part. I had to stop overthinking and just do it!
The second were encounters with some criticism that initially was challenging, but these experiences were ultimately transformed into opportunities for personal growth through constructive feedback.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a skilled videographer based in Atlanta, specializing in capturing unforgettable moments for a diverse clientele, including events, brands, and individuals. While my video skills are adaptable and versatile, event videography is where I truly excel.
One of my proudest attributes is my determination and willingness to seize opportunities, even in the face of rejection. Fear of rejection has never held me back. It has instead introduced me to life-changing opportunities..
What distinguishes me is the versatility and professionalism that I bring to my craft, resulting in a loyal and growing client base.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I’ve always been one to embrace risk. One of my most daring ventures was pouring my heart and soul into my videography business. Committing everything to a venture with uncertain returns can be a daunting journey. Yet, it’s in taking risks that we uncover the true potential of any endeavor.
It’s crucial to assess potential rewards and consequences when considering risks. You want to ensure they align with your goals and values. Ultimately, the willingness to take risks can lead to growth and opportunities in both personal and professional life.
