Today we’d like to introduce you to Shemariah Pradia.
Hi Shemariah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story started during the heart of COVID when I noticed that the morale was low. What people have been able to go out and interact with each other. I decided to make restaurant-quality food and do pop-ups. And then it went from pop-ups boo, helping the morale stay high with the merchant Marines on base. And military members that wanted lunch, but they were so tired of eating the same meals over and over.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road for me. Learning the ropes of the Atlanta metropolitan area, especially with me, moving from a military-heavy area as Virginia and coming to a city full of life and all kinds of activities in Atlanta. Getting to know new people and just having to network and keep moving at a fast pace. The other challenge for me is the fact that I am 100% dis above it and I live a systemic lupus and actively going through a recurrence of cancer.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
So, I specialize in making healthy food with a Caribbean twist. Because that is my background and educating others on health. Base meals that are tasty but healthy and has a lot of health benefits for my clients…
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I have learned that life is short and even though I have struggles. And I am going through this hard journey right now. Which has me in a place of feeling like? Will I be able to pick back up my business after this fight that I am going through? But all in all, I love what I do I love making meals I love Seeing the smiles on my client’s face and my Journey will be a story so no matter what you are dealing with in life continue to live your life.
