Today we’d like to introduce you to 3Wrld.
Hi 3Wrld, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name 3Wrld since I was young I used to freestyle a lot, one day I decided I would just hop on a beat, then I picked up a mic. It just happened and I knew that this is what I wanted for myself in life and my future.
I always had a natural talent for it my family heard my music and was like “you gotta keep going” so that’s what I been on.
I started a team called “EBGE” it started with just me and my twin (EBGE KD) walking home everyday rapping, one day he said “if we ever hop on a beat together we gonna go crazy” and we did it.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing come easy, I remember when I used to skip school and go to the studio or smoke. My sophomore year I just stopped going, my folks was mad as shit. But when the numbers started going up my folks understood how passionate music was for me. My pops just wanted me to finish school so that’s what I did. I always struggled with school because I hated anything that was structured. I learned to be patient with things in life after that.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I gotta passion for this music thing you know, like this really moves me. I like to take pictures now but at first I wasn’t really into all, that but then I realized how important imagery was because it’s not all about what you hear it’s about what you see and feel. Due to how my style of music can draw in an audience, I gotta keep my listeners alive. Music keeps me sane it’s a lot of messed up things out here. I just know I’m not going back to how it was.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Be yourself and make what you want, be weird.
The plague we face today is nobody knows themselves, just be you. Find your own lane and stay in it. Make sure you lead and never follow.
