Today we’d like to introduce you to Serion Bellamy.
Hi Serion, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started a sport, well football, and I wanted to find a passion outside of football, but I was still related to sports. And so I got into media arts, better known as broadcast production with my university. Long story short I fell in love with the process of not only being on camera, but also me behind the scenes as well. And I found out that I actually had a skill for it and from that point on, God has blessed me with so many opportunities to be able to further not only my own personality but my goals and my interpersonal growth in professional growth as well..
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of the struggles were just trying to find myself as far as my identity outside of foot my after I stopped completely playing football, and finding out what was my true purpose, and sometimes being so lost and so obsessed with football. I began to lose myself, and the true purpose and plan that God had over my life and where he needed me to be in where I knew I needed to be where I could be useful.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am currently a production assistant, a production specialist for Spectrum Bay News Nine. My specialty is in broadcast production video production, videography, camera, work, live events, venue, and anything regarding live events in your broadcast production.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
As far as risk for me, when you are taking a leap of faith for me to start with my faith in God, and understand that he is going to take me where I need to be taken. And understand that you have some failures, you make mistakes no one is perfect, but I understand that if you do not take that risk, you’re going to regret it for the rest of your life when you could’ve taken the risk and learned from or maybe their wrist does perfectly work out and it takes you to places you never even thought you could imagine.
