Hi Shawn, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Having been raised under what some would deem “country living,” I was blessed to observe the beauty and overall necessity of nature and self-sufficiency, or what conservatives may consider the “power of living off of the land.” My rearing from youth until now has been one of knowledge, intrinsic development, and a deep sense of inner peace; a trait I find absent amongst today’s male society. This has offered me the chosen resistance and pressures of frivolous acquisitions (money, fame, popularity). Instead, my life experience has offered me a deep affinity for God’s creation, and this is what I usually share with my followers and the common public.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I believe no man’s journey can be deemed as “smooth”. The metamorphosis of life, in general, is a rugged path, and no one can expect that in order to gain and sustain true character, we should expect an easy route. In fact, it has been moments where I’ve delved into deep introspection, nature, and self-analyzation, where I was able to find inner peace. I believe that the biggest challenge we all embrace, one way or another, is peace or war with the reflection we gather in the mirror. So, while most men or males in my age range faced the fears of street life and common social politics, my challenge was owning my own journey, and that is a path I walk inherently daily and will do so until I leave here. It is a journey, the destination just takes a little longer to reach when you take the stairs.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a multifaceted influencer, content creator, and curator with a niche developed around homesteading, reflection on current events, and comedic segments. Obtaining more than 400k plus followers on diverse social media platforms, including: TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, I have developed a consistent following from people who long to appreciate simplistic living with a twist. I enjoy educating people on the benefits of healthy living, farming, and keeping a close relationship with the Most High. I believe that my raw and honest nature, blended with my ability to make people laugh, has changed so much about the way people see social media environments. I got here by being myself, and I believe that is the coolest thing about being an influencer; grabbing an audience based on positive content and education about nature. I live a simple life (to me, at least). When I was young, my grandad told me a saying that is very popular today but often misquoted. “A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.” I find myself having a creative burst of energy where I feel like I can do anything. From building customized chicken coops, spreading light on world issues while giving comical relief, filming/recording and editing videos modeling my clothing line or turning on an instrumental and rapping.
What are your plans for the future?
Maintaining my acquired reputation for relatable content and brand curation, I honestly plan on building on those platforms. Whether that is building my own estate publicly so that people can be inspired to obtain the knowledge of self-sufficiency or expanding my clothing line or homesteading platforms. I know that my intent for the future is to remain one step ahead of the crowd by showing the power of being one’s truest self. One thing I bring to my followers and those who are around me is an expectation of being myself; a trait I see dying in this generation, as various influencers and the like pander toward culture. I am a man and can stand on my promise to be a light and a positive influence toward my family, its legacy, and the greater public. At the end of the day, I can’t promise perfection, but I can promise a greater version of “SF” and a sure enhancement of the legacy passed down to me by my grandfather and ancestors.
