Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristi Brinson.
Hi Kristi, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a small-town girl. A lover of Jesus, wife, mother, entrepreneur, life coach, mentor, podcaster, and the list can go on. I started from nothing really and have built myself up to where I am with the Lord’s help of course. I have gotten to where I am by just deciding to believe in myself. I will say having a supportive and loving spouse really helps with that. However, I decided not to give up on myself and not allow the situations and circumstances I have faced in life to stop me from not only setting goals but also achieving them. I believe in the process. No matter how long it takes. It’s not so much about how you but that you finish. We all don’t get the cushy, comfy fairytale beginning. Majority of us have to work our way to the top from the bottom. So I did just that. I am not exactly where I want to be in life, but I’m certainly far from where I began. I am enjoying the journey along the way.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has definitely not been a smooth road. I have run into many challenges in my life. I dealt with many things, such as depression, anxiety, self-doubt, negative emotions, and much more. Oftentimes have felt like what is the point of trying to pursue all of these things. However, I did not let any of those things stop me. We all run into bumps in the road, and we all deal with a plethora of emotions and feelings, but it’s up to us how we allow those things to dictate our lives. I truly believe my identity is not wrapped in those things. So I took all of the struggles, and I grew from them, and I’m still growing.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I currently work for the state, but I am in the process of changing career paths to be what I feel is more of my purpose and what I am led to. Outside of my professional life, I am also an entrepreneur and business owner. I currently own a crafting and creative business, Simply K Crafts, a Christian life coach business, Motivated With Coach K, and a mentorship program called Girls on Fire Mentorship. I specialize in just helping people in general in any and every way that I can. With that in mind is what laid the foundation of the businesses that I have started on my own. I believe that everyone needs a helping hand and or resource at some point in life, and if I can be that for them, I have fulfilled my purpose. I would say I am known for my gifts and talents, especially in my crafting business. I can pretty much create anything and continue to perfect my creativity along the way. I am most proud of the fact that I didn’t let what I saw around me stop me from going after my goals and dreams. There a lot of people that do the things that I do but I firmly believe that they can’t do it the way I do it which in turn sets me apart from others. I believe when you do what you do for the purpose of loving to help people and seeing them smile, it makes all the difference.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The qualities and characteristics that I feel are most important to my success are my work ethic, my humbleness, and my drive to keep going. These are important because, at the end of the day, no matter what obstacle or challenge I faced, I didn’t let it stump out the drive that I have on the inside of me to not only be successful but also to help and inspire others to do the same. Along with having a humble spirit which respectfully allows me to celebrate my wins but be sweet spirited enough to know that God will reward my humble spirit I keep pressing and my work ethic which enables me to work hard in and towards everything i set my mind to do. I believe that faith without works in dead so I work hard towards every goal I have with the mindset that I will accomplish them all.
