Hi Mariah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I’ve always had an interest in nails since a little girl. I remember I used to use clear tape and color them to make it seem like I had nails on or the nails back then that didn’t match your skin tone but had red nails and you place them on your fingers. You couldn’t tell me I wasn’t THAT GIRL lol.
Fast forward to now, I’ve taken my nails seriously right before the pandemic happened. I touched my first set of acrylics then March 8th, 2020. Now, I’m a poly gel-only nail tech at the moment looking to expand my skills to the right girlies. I have so many goals I want to accomplish as a nail tech and I know for sure I’m going to get there!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, the road hasn’t been smooth. I’ve encountered numerous times fail after fail but that’s the process and the journey I’m going through. My struggles as of now are having consistent clientele coming to me and being an independent nail tech is not for the weak lol
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
If you haven’t guessed by now I’m an independent nail tech. I specialize in luxury and exotic nails. I’m mostly known for my French tips and simple sets. I want to step out of my box and become more creative with 3d work and hand-drawn nail art. I’m most proud of how far I’ve come in the nail game and how long my sets last. 4+ weeks to be exact.
What sets me apart from other nail techs? I care about the health of your nails before applying a fake enhancement on there. I take my time no rushing. If you want a bomb set it takes TIME! I’m not the tech that will get you in and out especially if you choose a nail design that can take up to 4+ hours.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The quality and characteristic that’s most important to me is paying attention to details. Whether it’s small or big. I pride myself on my work and quality is definitely what you will get and my vibes are unmatched. I meet no stranger lol.
