Today, we’d like to introduce you to Bresha Durham.
Hi, Bresha, I am so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started my business in 2020. Originally, I sold lashes and anklets at my HBCU. I knew I needed to promote myself more, but as a college student, I didn’t have the necessary funds to invest in my business then.
I started making flyers and websites and fell in love with graphic design. I sold all of my inventory and transformed my business into Graphic Designing.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Owning my own business is not always smooth. It’s like a never-ending roller coaster. There are highs and lows, but I wouldn’t want to go any other way.
I wouldn’t say it is the most difficult thing in the world because once you get the hang of things, you expect certain situations to happen (lack of motivation, periods where you won’t make any money, etc.)
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a graphic designer and print specialist. I bring my client’s businesses to life! I am the mastermind behind their ideas. With graphic design, I create websites, flyers, logos, business cards, etc. With printing, I design and print business cards, customer loyalty cards, banners, signs, etc. I offer many services, and if there is a service that I do not provide that a potential customer asked me about, I am more than likely able to provide the service!
I am most proud of how my clients elevate after getting their businesses fully revamped and branded. Most people would talk about their accomplishments, but I am helping business owners elevate their businesses. It’s amazing seeing how far they go. What sets me apart from others is that I am passionate and not doing this just for money. Money is great. However, graphic design is something I love to do!
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I don’t think too much about the role of good luck or bad luck. I put all my faith in God, and what is meant for me will be for me! I want certain things to happen for my business, so I pray and then work for it.
