Today, we’d like to introduce you to Conrad Randolph
Hi Conrad, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. Before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My YouTube career was started through my love for sports and journalism. Growing up, I love watching sport debate shows like First Take. Watching Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayleef was special to me. I always dreamed of talking sports on tv because of those two. My sophomore in high school, I knew I wanted to pursue a dream in sports journalism.
My dream lead me to majoring in journalism in college. My senior year of college, fall of 2018, I had an internship with WJBF NewsChannel 6. During my internship, I was given the chance to experience every position in the newsroom. I was trying to learn much as possible. Once my internship ended, a few months later I was hired part time as Associate Producer.
I during my time as Associate Producer (AP), I mastered editing and learned how to use cameras. I stayed there for a year before moving on due to my own personal reasons. During this time, I began to lose hope on living that dream since I haven’t experienced yet. Never had chance to sit back on mic and talk sports during my time in the news industry until I met my friend/podcast co-host drex on YouTube in 2021.
Drex saw some of my college assignments on my YouTube channel and told me with all honesty “You should do YouTube content.”
That was the moment my YouTube career began. The Legend 350 was born. I started doing videos and livestreams on video games news and sport topics. In 2022, I started my podcast show “The Legendary Duo Podcast” with my friend drex as a co-host. That’s how I got to where I am with my YouTube channel.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been pretty smooth so far. I had one bump in the road where I lost my first YouTube channel around 500 subscribers in 2022 October due to it was connected to my college email and ended up being deleted.
I had to start over fresh with a new personal email for YouTube and now I’m currently at 641 subscribers a year and 4 months later. Overall, it’s been a smooth road and I have a nice gaming community being built from the ground up.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I do YouTube content on video games and sports. I talk about the latest gaming news within the game industry and do short videos on the sport world daily.
Sometime, I do NBA livestream and talk basketball, I became known for my gaming and sport takes. People who comment on my channel knows, I game on all platform and love my Golden State Warriors because of Stephen Curry. The best 3 point shooter in NBA history.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love how ATL always has something to do. The city never feels boring and easily find something to do on the most boring days.
The least thing I do not like is the interstate traffic. Rush hour is awful. I learned there are certain time period throughout the day you should not be on the interstate. I learned that lesson hard several times lol.
