Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasia Young.
Hi Tasia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I began my career in the field of counseling in 2005. My interest in understanding the human mind and how it works led me to pursue studies in the field of counseling psychology. After completing my education, I joined a local counseling private practice in my hometown of Alabama to help me learn the ins and outs of the field. After, I began to preplan on how I needed to run my own private practice.
As I gained experience and expertise in the field, I became more interested in trauma-induced youth and adolescents. My contributions to the field involved redirecting their mindsets from past traumas and focusing more on the positive side or reimagining their traumas to allow them to live “normal” lives. Today, I am proud to be a part of the Counseling Psychology field, where I continue to strive to assist trauma-induced youth to live productive lives. My journey has been driven by passion and commitment.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has not been easy as there have been times when I thought I would give up because it could be so overwhelming to deal with different personalities.

Angels of Carmen Limited Liability Company is a local private practice that services mental health services for the Metro Atlanta area. I am currently a Masters level mental health counselor who is license-eligible. What sets me apart from others is my extensive knowledge of the field.
What do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is seeing my children and my man happy. As long as my household is taken care of and happy then I’m happy.
