Karla, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
At the age of 19, while studying nutrition in Mexico, I took the initiative to start in the personal care and beauty industry. My intention from the beginning was to offer a unique service experience and constantly modify it by adding more knowledge, study, and my own work experience.
After 12 years of having my own business in Mexico, I met my now husband, he was born and raised here, and long story short, after a few days of knowing each other, we made the decision to start a family. I moved to Georgia almost 5 years ago and started like anyone else, with zero clients and also in a city where I didn’t know anyone and was afraid that my English wasn’t enough.
In Mexico and here I have always been sure that the work speaks for itself and that there is no better advertising than word of mouth. 6 months after I came to live here my agenda was as full as I was used to, today I continue studying and learning to maintain my goal which is to offer a unique service that separates me from the conventional. I have 17 years of experience and of course, what I have learned the most from is the mistakes and accidents that I now know are normal in everything that is done, the difference is how they are resolved.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I can say that it is a path of surprises, for me the most difficult thing has been the balance between personal and family life with work. Most of the time I get lost while I’m working, I don’t feel tired, and I want to serve another client and another, leaving aside the time necessary for me and my family, it is a constant struggle with myself to find that balance and keep it.
As you know, we’re big fans of Celebrity Facials LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am an esthetician with 17 years of experience as, a laser technician. My best-selling service is celebrity facial, it is a routine service where I apply all my technology and experience, totally personalized and according to the needs of the skin. It is a unique service, which I have been creating over time, and with products that I am adding, for me it is important to feel as if I were the one receiving the service and so think, what would I like to receive in my facial each month?
The answer is EVERYTHING! Deep cleaning, and treatment for my concerns such as spots, pores, and wrinkles in addition to hydrating, correcting, and preventing signs of aging. All of the above in a massage chair for the whole body from feet, back, and hands, my goal is for you to disconnect, for the results to be noticeable from the first session and a celebrity experience. I also offer services for cellulite and body shaping, as well as deeper facial treatments to treat scars and/or intensive rejuvenation.
