Rising Stars: Meet Jazzmyne Walker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazzmyne Walker.

Jazzmyne Walker

Hi Jazzmyne, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, it all started with massage! At a young age I wasn’t aware then, but I had the gift of touch. Natural healing abilities. My father being my guide always. My father got sick when I was born, and he had a lot of accommodations. Growing up was very different with a sickly parent. We definitely needed each other more than we both knew. I had time to explore, or should I say prepare for the journey that I’m on right now. When he wasn’t well, he would always call on me to lay my hands anywhere that hurt. He always wanted massages. If my sister came around, I got a little break lol. She saved me many summers. Jazzmyneeeeeeeee!!! His voice is always in my mind. When my name was called, I automatically knew what he needed or what would make him feel better. When I was younger, it would bother me; I would think it wasn’t that serious, or how am I truly helping you anyway? You’re bugging me if anything. He was in fact always better after. In better spirits, more upbeat, but physical he was better. My father always told me you’ll be a nurse or a massage therapist. When I got older, I ran far aware from either or. I had took on so much responsibility at my age dealing with someone who was sick I didn’t want to be around taking care of anyone or have much of an obligation to anything. What I really wanted was to be free. I honestly felt like I couldn’t even take care of myself. After his passing, I was 16, and my life really changed. I didn’t know anything about the level of freedom I had. I was free from a lot, but I was fully responsible for myself. New responsibilities came, and I was really lost for a long time. I worked job to job. I was a really hard worker, but I could been stay on any job too long. I was aware of my extremely empathic ways…which felt like a hinderance. Fast forward to 2020, during the pandemic, I told myself I’d be a massage therapist. Anyone that I ever layed hands on always told me how good they felt. Even if it was for a short while. So, I attended Trident Technology College in Charleston, SC. I graduated and quickly went down a rabbit a hole learning more about my gifts. What I discovered that this was not my only gift. My sensitive nature was with reason. I learned about my psychic abilities.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was nothing easy, ever. I learned only through lessons when I lost my parents. I was my own guide. Let’s just say at 16 with no parental supervision lol, I made 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20-year-old decisions and so on that fit the age. Haha Life was my teacher, and I grew up really fast. Like I said earlier in the previous paragraph about my story. I was already being prepared for everything with the amount of responsibility I had taking care of someone else at my age.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
In 2020, I became a massage therapist. In 2021 I got my certification in Reiki level 1. Currently I just became Reiki level 2 certified.

I also am I model. I started modeling professionally in 2017. In 2021 I got signed to a modeling agency, Images Modeling & Talent Denham Springs, Louisiana.

I’m just really proud that I’ve become something out of nothing. I wasn’t given anything special, but the tools and gifts God has given me within. I’m my own magical being. Thats what really sets me aside from the others. The magic I hold within myself has built a life for me and my family.

Any big plans?
The goal is to go global! I want to connect with other people and travel more. I would love to meet others with healing abilities and psychic mediums like myself.
