Meet Jared Griggs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jared Griggs.

Hi Jared, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I began my songwriting career in my high school years in 2014. Coming from a small town in Georgia, I never saw myself making it big as songwriter, let alone being a singer. Over the years, I transitioned from rapping to singing my own original music. In 2021, I made the transition to my stage name, Amaré. Amaré is who I am when I become the pop artist I have always wanted to be. Now, I currently make pop music as an artist as well as writing music for others. My latest EP, ‘Under The Lights,’ was released in 2023, and I am currently working on new music. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have been many ups and downs that have brought me here. Creating music for the world to see can be a dark path at times. There have been many moments of self-doubt, hating music, and creative droughts. Looking back, these moments really have shaped my depth and perseverance as an artist. 

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a vocal artist, specializing in songwriting, vocals, and performance. I songwriter for all genres, and I sing/perform in pop & R&B music. I feel like my artistry stands out with my style, imagery, and my presence. I feel like I can be my authentic self and let it show through every piece of art I show. My songwriting, in particular, is very descriptive for how I’m feeling and what I am going through. 

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
I learned that you can’t wait for the right timing to chase your dreams. I started focusing on my music during covid, and I have been going full force ever since.
