Hi Shania, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
My name is Shania Love and I am the CEO of Love Kouture. Love Kouture was started my senior year of high school when I found out my mother had stage 4 Endometrial Cancer. I started the brand to help my mother grow and maintain her hair while undergoing chemotherapy. I continued making the product due to my hair falling out due to stress and depression.
Once my mother and I started to share our testimonies about the oil it then became something more. I got to where I am today by continuing to want to help people. I love the fact that I can help kids, women, and men to their goals of having healthy hair. Love Kouture is a uniquely designed brand within a category of its own.
At Love Kouture, our motto is “Love Kouture is a brand that Loves to Kater to you.” Love Kouture specializes in multiple areas from hair care to body love, to lip care and accessories. Our products are used to help people feel as though the kouture we provide can help bring out their love within. We even have naturally formulated products that will help with hair and beard growth along with a sense of sparkle with our body shimmers.
Whether you suffer from hair loss or stunted hair growth we will do our best to get you the results you desire. We as a company nourish you from head to toe to ensure that we cater to you and bring out the love within so that it shines on the outside.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. I don’t think starting a business is smooth for anyone. there is a lot of time, sweat, and tears that go into Love Kouture. Some of the obstacles I faced were building business credit, writing a professional business plan, thinking through the day-to-day operations, and planning for the brand. It took me a while to learn about grants, business banking, how to keep money separate, and keeping up with expenses.
There is a lot that goes into the behind-the-scenes workflow of a business. Luckily I did a lot of research and also met people who could help me. I think that many in business face life obstacles while trying to build a business. The best thing I have ever done for myself and my business was to keep going. As long as you start you have opened the door to endless possibilities.
We’ve been impressed with Love Kouture, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The oils that we produce are all naturally made. The oils are nut allergy-free and are nontoxic Our products are lightweight while still deeply penetrating the scalp and skin of our customers.. Oils are our specialty. I think what makes them so special is the fact that we take our time with each batch that is made so the customer is receiving all the needed nutrients.
We make all of our products with love and care. We are gentle and careful to ensure a natural product for wellness is produced. As a company, I am most proud of our growth and how we are helping others to see the beauty that they have to offer with our products. What sets me apart from others would be my brand as a whole. We have uniquely crafted and formulated products for our customers. I love to help my customers because they are who I do this for.
Without them, my brand wouldn’t be where it is today. Also, I strive to build my business to be successful to show others that you can have a company that’s within its unique category instead of being constructed and defined as one thing, one line of service, especially when you have more to offer because there always more to see and become.
