Daily Inspiration: Meet Cheryl Wright

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheryl Wright

Hi Cheryl, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey in the organizing industry began during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a moment of realization when I stopped to observe the “out of order” state of many areas of my home and decided to take action. Starting with decluttering my closet, I found the drive to tackle clutter in larger spaces and soon discovered the hidden potential of a space free of unwanted items. The resulting serenity and reduced stress at home were transformative, bringing me a newfound sense of freedom. This experience challenged me and inspired me to assist other busy Moms in simplifying their homes through the effective strategies and insights I had learned. Thus, Simple Order Professional Organizing was established. Now, my mission is to provide a supportive, understanding presence for those seeking to declutter their spaces and lives, enabling them to embrace a more simple, orderly and liberated way of living.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As an entrepreneur, I’ve encountered numerous challenges and surprises along the way, including the unexpected mental hurdles that come with the territory. There were moments when I felt overwhelmed and considered walking away, yet sharing the benefits of organized living with my loved ones and clients reminded me of the value of the work I do. This journey demands faith, prayer, sacrifice, and unwavering determination to see it through. Despite the ebbs and flows, every effort put into this endeavor is deeply rewarding and worthwhile.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
In essence, I am a dedicated clutter-buster, specializing in helping individuals design simple solutions to declutter effectively and maintain a serene, organized lifestyle at home. My expertise shines brightest in organizing kitchen pantries and closets, as these areas are integral to daily routines and decision-making. The joy of witnessing families benefit from my services fuels my passion, motivating me to extend this positive impact to more clients seeking a clutter-free life. What sets me apart is my unwavering faith in God, recognizing that the foundation and success of each organizing project rest in His guidance. I lean on His presence, power, and divine guidance with every new endeavor, offering gratitude for the opportunities to touch lives, share love, and radiate the light of Jesus in all that I do. Bringing order to spaces for families who need a trusted confidant is both my mission and a profound opportunity to spread love and light.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Some may be surprised to learn that my home isn’t always perfectly organized and spotless, but I’ve come to embrace this reality wholeheartedly. I don’t strive for an unattainable standard of perfection; rather, I focus on making progress in maintaining an organized space. By ensuring that every item in my home has a designated spot, resetting any area simply involves returning things to where they belong. This approach is similar to parking a car in the garage after washing it in the driveway or putting away special china dishes following a dinner party. My simple maintenance philosophy revolves around having a designated place for everything and returning everything to its place.
