Conversations with Aisha White

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aisha White

Hi Aisha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m often asked how I got started in the entertainment industry. Initially, I had my heart set on becoming a news anchor or talk show host, but fate had other plans. I enrolled in an TSAW (Tasha Smith’s Acting Workshop) and that’s when everything changed. Watching the other actors perform sparked something within me, and I was bitten by the acting bug. I knew I was hooked and never looked back!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Has my journey as an actor been a smooth ride? Far from it! It’s been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, twists and turns. The truth is, in this industry, you never know what’s going to happen next.
You live in uncertainty, constantly wondering when your next opportunity will come along, and when your next paycheck will arrive. But that’s also what makes it so thrilling! The unknown keeps me on my toes and pushes me to keep growing and striving for more.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an actress, fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to play lead roles on streaming services. My resume also includes a range of commercial & print work.
I’ve worked tirelessly to hone my craft, take risks, and push through challenges.
What sets me apart is I believe that what’s meant for me is meant for me, and I wholeheartedly support my fellow actors in their own journeys. I’m most proud of the fact that l’ve never given up on my passion, even when the road got tough.
That perseverance and resilience have gotten me to where I am today, and I’m grateful for that.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I haven’t had a traditional mentor, but I’ve had great acting coaches and supportive fellow actors who’ve helped me grow. I’ve also learned a lot from attending networking events and workshops. While I don’t have one mentor, l’ve been fortunate to have a network of people who’ve guided me along the way.
