Rising Stars: Meet Jason Regis

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Jason Regis.

Jason Regis

Hi Jason, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was groomed to be a medical doctor. Both my parents and my younger brother are in the medical field.

After sustaining many injuries in Division 1 football, I discovered Physical Therapy and enjoyed being part of the rehabilitative process for athletes. After doing research at NIH and working at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in DC, I was told/led to chiropractic.

I was amazed after my first adjustment and wanted to make people feel as good as I did, especially the ones that thought they would have a lifetime of pain. It was not until after school that I realized so much more about the holistic field. I blend nutrition, rehabilitation exercises, stretches with chiropractic and a Positive Mental Attitude!

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely been a rollercoaster. It is one thing to be good at your craft and another thing to market and run your own business. Books like The E-Myth, Leadership by John C. Maxwell, and The One Minute Manager have helped me to learn how to effectively/efficiently manage people and my time.

During Covid, I ran the office by myself for several months and learned the most about my business. With the help and guidance from a business coach, I learned more about how to work ON my business instead of just in my business.

I worked 4 jobs while going to chiropractic school and was in 5 different spaces in 4 years before purchasing a building and having my own office.

I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am proud to have completed my original goal of working with professional athletes at the highest level. People have asked me if they are my favorite clients, and I tell them that my favorite ones recognize and appreciate my specialization. It could be an NFL player who told me “100 chiropractors have not helped him the way I have.”

The 90-year-olds now have a better quality of life without pain, whether attending a grandchild’s graduation or working in their garden. I was blessed to have many great teachers who taught me techniques that were not in the books and helped me gain confidence in my style by utilizing my background in rehabilitation and my own personal sports injuries.

What do you think about happiness?
Helping my patients makes me happy. I tell my children that I don’t go to work. I go to the office. I simply have too much fun here.

I educate, empower, and guide my patients (I call them Team Members because they are active participants in their own health and outcome; I am just the coach that facilitates the natural healing powers of the body). I had always wanted to be in a field where I made a difference in people’s lives, and helping achieve a better quality of life is very fulfilling.
