Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Walter
Hi Ashley, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
A little over 12 years ago I was subpoenaed to be a key witness in a trial. Since I had never even stepped foot in a courtroom, I was extremely fearful. However, as I testified in an effort to help bring justice, I carefully watched as the prosecution and defense effortlessly navigated the courtroom; Through that trial, I fell in love with the courtroom while on the stand. That moment pushed me to immediately change my major that next week and begin networking within the legal community. While my career plans of becoming a cancer research specialist had changed to becoming an attorney, my passion to help others remained the same. 12 years later with that same passion to help others, I have built a firm that puts clients first and fights for their businesses and families.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting a law firm at such a young age has truly not been easy. While entrepreneurship has its own challenges, owning a law firm forces you to wear multiple hats while also fighting endlessly for clients. You are tasked with dealing with people at their most vulnerable point while also being tasked of navigating our complicated legal system.

The Walter Law Group is a Business and Family Law Firm located in Atlanta Georgia. Some of our services include, contract drafting, contract negotiations, business litigation, trademarks, general/ in-house counsel, divorces, legitimation, modifications and child custody.
One thing that set’s us apart from other law firms is our true dedication to our client’s and their desired outcomes. Each client truly becomes family, and therefore we strive to be their voice while we fight for them inside and outside of the courtroom.
I am most proud of the way our firm fights for our clients. No matter how difficult the matter is, we never back down from the challenge. That determination and commitment is one of the reasons why we have been able to reach the amount of success that we have.
What matters most to you?
Spending time with family and friends matter the most to me. After losing so many close family members at a young age, I became committed to ensuring my family valued family time and truly loving each other while we were all here. One of the greatest gifts we are provided everyday is the chance to live. So, it is very important that we do not take that gift for granted, and love hard on the ones who give a piece of themselves to us each day.
If you were to lose the closest person to you today, would you reminisce on the material items that were exchanged while they were here or would you rather be able to reminisce on the quality time that you spent with them? Whether its a movie night, Sunday dinner, or fun outing, giving yourself and your time to the ones you love will be a memory that truly lasts forever and valued more than you could ever imagine. Its the greatest way to leave your mark in this crazy world.
