Today we’d like to introduce you to Bridgette Hylick
Hi Bridgette, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Bridgette Hylick and I am a singer who lives in Atlanta Ga.
My love for singing started off at an early age from when I first started singing in front of family members performing concerts in my living room to Destiny Child lyrics .
I’ve always had a desire to be apart of the entertainment industry whether that be through acting or singing so when I got to college I pursued and received my degree in theatrical arts and put singing on the back burner for a while .
It’s not until I joined my church’s youth worship team that I found my renewed desire for singing again.
Not long after that , I started getting asked to sing at weddings and bridal expos (I worked in bridal at the time ).
From my work at a Bridal expo I met an amazing singer and guitarist named Tom, who admired my voice and had an interest in working with me , so from there we took on singing jobs as a power house duo performing at big events and weddings.
Not long after , I realized my desire to do music with my brother Joe who is also an amazing Pianist and guitarist .
We have done a plethora of projects together from building our social media presence, recording projects and traveling events.
I learned so much on our journey together.
A few years later due to my love of music and wanting to dig deeper into it , I went back to school and received my degree in music with a concentration on voice . One of the best and most rewarding things I’ve ever done .
Since then I have been working as a stylist in the ATL area but still quietly and consistently working on my dreams as a singer , remembering that the small steps matter just as much as the big ones.
I hope to encourage anyone on this journey of following their dreams to not give up!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road.
One of my biggest challenges has been the struggle to stay consistent.
Life is always “lifeing” and with that, too often are dreams sometime get placed on the back burner.

My professional work that I do outside of singing is being a stylist at Tootsies, a high end women’s clothing store located in Atlanta, Ga.
I specialize in helping women find their own personal look and to genuinely be in love with what they wear from day to day.
I am most proud of simply making women feel their best and feeling beautiful on the outside just as well as on the inside .
What sets me apart from others is my contagious joy and love for others.

I haven’t been reading to many books lately but the podcast and apps that have been really helping me thrive right now have been:
