Today we’d like to introduce you to Marle Gonzalez
Hi Marle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am Marle González, a Venezuelan, with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations and a master’s in Business Management and Marketing from my home country, Venezuela. I arrived in the United States in 2015 in search of a better future and stability for my family. Leveraging my years of experience in sales and marketing, and with the goal of supporting and educating the Hispanic community, I created Mujer Magazine, a magazine for today’s Hispanic woman, inspired by the brave and entrepreneurial woman who unites her strength in the service of her people and comes to forge a path in a new land.
Mujer Magazine quickly became the community’s favorite magazine, offering current, fresh, and innovative content, as well as topics that help immigrant women build a future in this new country. It serves as a platform to promote their products and/or services and the opportunity to tell their story, battles, and triumphs to inspire other women.
We entered the digital world with the website www.mujermagazine.net and streaming television. We overcame the pandemic without missing a single edition, demonstrating that when things are done with purpose, passion, and love, it is possible to go very far.
In 2019, my story and the magazine’s inception were told in the book Inspiración hispana: 45 inspiradoras historias de mujeres latinas inmigrantes que te empoderan e inspiran, by Marcela Arenas. Additionally, on the magazine’s first anniversary, I created the Mujer Magazine Award to honor the work and talent of Hispanic women in Georgia, which is now presented annually at a gala.
In 2020, I was recognized and named “EME Latina Entrepreneur of the Year” by the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In 2021, I was invited to give a TEDx talk on “How to Start a Business Abroad.” It is also worth noting that Mujer Magazine has won the “Best of Gwinnett” award in the Publications category for three consecutive years.
Once the magazine was established, I decided to fully pursue my career in real estate without abandoning the direction of Mujer Magazine. I use my knowledge in marketing, sales, and negotiation skills to offer my clients honest and effective work.
I am passionate about serving others and teaching. Thanks to this quality, I not only accompany and support my clients at every step of the property buying or selling process, but I also obtained my certification as a mentor at EXP Realty. With this, I am dedicated to educating my team of over a dozen agents to achieve their professional goals and objectives.
This passion for serving is always present, even in the hardest moment of my life. After the loss of my eldest son in a car accident, I decided to create Light of Hope Foundation US.
Light of Hope Foundation US is a non-profit organization that provides emotional support to Latino parents going through the suffering of losing a child, aiming to give new meaning to grief in their lives, integrating their loss in a conscious and constructive way. They are also trained to replicate our model, so they can be a light to other families around the world, whether in person or virtually.
The foundation offers personal and family support programs, psychological support, support groups, life coaching, spiritual support, and trained volunteers. All of this is to strengthen the family after the loss and generate a change in social and cultural awareness around death, transmitting the value of life, the present, and gratitude.
Additionally, I am an author and speaker, and I enjoy sharing my experiences and knowledge to inspire others.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been an easy road. Starting with the migration to a new country and adapting to a new culture and language, I had to begin from scratch after having a stable and productive life as a professional in my home country. Starting new projects and learning simultaneously was challenging. Additionally, the loss of my son has been a significant turning point, leading to a major restructuring of my life, my dreams, and my goals.
We’ve been impressed with MKT Group Inc, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I manage three distinct companies, each dedicated to empowering the Hispanic community.
MKT Group: An influential Hispanic magazine for women, providing valuable content to inspire and educate our readers.
Marle Gonzalez Real Estate: A real estate business committed to helping our community find and secure their dream homes and investments.
Our Non-Profit Organization Light of Hope: Focused on teaching and uplifting the Hispanic community through various programs and initiatives.
My mission is to inspire and educate our community, demonstrating that with the right guidance and support, anything is possible. I believe in changing the world, one person at a time, by walking together in the right direction. We take pride in our work and the impact we have on those we serve.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Yes of course, I cannot do it this by myself. First GOD he is my strength and my guide, my family (husband, kids and my mom), My team for Mujer Magazine: Alejandra Viera, Hecsura Estrada and Orayma Duran. Paola Palacio who is helping me with the foundation and My real estate team specially my coaches Orlando and Daniel Montiel, they changed my life, not only professionally, they help me to convert me in a best version of me.
