Meet Hangry Hangovers Faith and Nia of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hangry Hangovers Faith and Nia

Hi Hangry Hangovers , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hangry Hangovers was formed as a way to stay connected as long-distance best friends. Raised in the metro-Atlanta area, many of our core memories as friends were centered around being foodies. What started as a quest for the best cupcake in Atlanta, grew to taking trips from one city to another for a deeper discovery of the food scene. After sharing years of experiences together, Nia later relocated to California. And that’s where it all began! Hangry Hangovers was created as a way to share our love of food cross-country. Now we’re back in the same city creating content together, and exploring the Atlanta food scene one restaurant at a time.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Overall, we have been lucky to have a great experience. Content creation has been such a creative release, allowing us to have an outlet from our full-time professions. We’ve embraced leaning into the “hobby vs. hustle” mantra which allows us to create everything we share with our followers from a place of joy.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Nia — I have always embraced having a creative outlet and my career has followed suit with roles spanning from creative writing to now fashion merchandising. Each one of these jobs has been grounded in influencing the thoughts and choices of others. Our foodie account does just that, encouraging our followers to explore their palette! My love for food stems from my upbringing, with childhood memories centered around creole dishes in my hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. When it comes to my favorites I cannot live without hot crispy fries, spicy margaritas, and iced coffee even when it’s cold out!

Faith — When I’m not consumed with scoping out a new coffee shop, shopping for a new plant baby, or starting a new DIY project, I spend my professional hours as an Environmental Health Consultant. Outside of that, I’m a self-proclaimed seasoned foodie. I live for a fun dining experience, and I enjoy traveling and exploring flavors from around the world. When it comes to my favorites…I’m a huge fan of tacos, I have a slight noodle obsession, and I have a weakness for anything with avocado.

What makes you happy?
What we love about food blogging is that it gives us the opportunity to connect with others. Throughout our content creation journey we have met other amazing creatives along the way, such as entrepreneurs, budding chefs, mixologists, baristas, and so many more who inspire joy through food. This translates into our personal lives as well when introducing friends, family, and colleagues alike to our favorite spots and connecting them to new dishes, neighborhoods, and people who’ve inspired us along the way. What started as a lighthearted “will travel for food” mindset has taken us to many cities across the country, and turned a fun pastime in an exploration of culture and community.
