Today we’d like to introduce you to Wayne Hawthorne
Hi Wayne, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In 2005, I relocated from New York to Atlanta. After serving as an internet Sales Manager for Volkswagen for several years, I decided to take a risk and establish my first auto detailing business. In May of the same year, I established my establishment, which took two weeks to attract my first client. Despite being excited, the code enforcement shut me down. They said that the building had issues with the landlord changing the exterior design without getting a permit. It took two weeks for the structure to be put back in its original shape. Upon reopening, it took several months before I began to attract a consistent clientele. As my clientele expanded, the need for additional staff became apparent. It was not until later that I realized the difficulty in finding competent and reliable assistance. Over time I would eventually find good people. At one point I had as many as 7 guys at the location. Everything was going great until the property was sold and the new owner wanted to knock the carwash building down. It was a very emotional time for me because I was there for so long and had built up a very sizable and loyal clientele. I also didn’t have any other buildings close by that I could acquire, but fortunately I ended up finding a location 5 miles away. I notified as many of my clients as I could and I would say about 90% followed me to the new location. I was back in full swing again until 2 years later the new landlord sold the building without telling me. Once again I was in the same position as before. There was a building a few hundred feet away that was much bigger. I reached out to the owner, but it was occupied. On my final day at the second location, the gentleman who had previously occupied the adjacent space was forced to vacate. I subsequently relocated a few weeks later and am presently still residing there. Initially, I had aspirations of establishing my own line of detailing products, and before too long -following extensive trial and error experiments, – I discovered that a company that could successfully produce an array of chemicals that matched my specifications. My sons (Darren and Adrian), along with myself, established Titan Detailing Products LLC. We started by selling our Ceramic Detail Spray, and in the span of just a few months, we have successfully sold an significant amount of the spray. We have received extremely positive reviews for our flagship product and anticipate the launch of several other products in the coming months. I believe in the significance of timing; nothing can transpire until it is time. To get your hands on our top quality detailing products, visit our website at www.titandetailingproducts.com.
