Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Stephenson
Hi Brittany, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey started in the hospitality industry in 2014 in Augusta, Ga where I am born and raised, then to moving to Atlanta in 2015. I became employed at chain restaurants to popular lounges and clubs all over the city of Atlanta starting out as a server, to a bartender, to a trainer, to management to now owning my own bartending business, In The Mixx With Britt.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing in life is a smooth transition, but you learn to embrace the challenges that come about. I don’t necessarily call anything a “struggle”, I label it as tests. You either pass or fail, but then you get the opportunity to try again. That’s the beauty of the tests. Some of the tests I have encountered along the way is to be more proactive than reactive and managing my time and energy.

Cocktails aren’t just for special occasions, a fact that In The Mixx With Britt discovered early in my career. With just a few gadgets and simple ingredients, anyone can make a good drink, but not everyone can exemplify an excellent service from start to finish. This is one of the aspects that inspired my work as a professional Bartender.
In The Mixx With Britt has become a highly respected name in the local mixology world. My experience and showmanship is second to none. Mixing the old with the new, I am a cocktail genius that can craft a perfectly prepared classic with a new twist, or serve a completely original drink with basic ingredients and techniques to curate the vibes for an unforgettable event.
What sets me apart from others is just that….. ME! 🙂 I pride myself and value the fact that I have stayed true to my calling and have made a notable name for myself and my business by just being Britt.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Funny thing is I don’t believe in being lucky. I center everything around alignment with God at the head of my life, and the golden rule of “do right by others and it will come back to you”. Whatever you put out into the atmosphere/universe will always circle back ten fold, whether good or bad, so I make sure that I only put out good things, good thoughts, good energy all wrapped up in love. And if that equates to me being lucky in life then I’ll take it!
