Exploring Life & Business with Asia Williams of F. A. C. E.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Asia Williams

Hi Asia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
How it all began, I’ve always seen myself being a part of the medical field, I just didn’t know how or when that would happen for me. I’m from McDonough Ga, where everyone holds each other to a standard of having a successful career while growing up. My father Micheal Williams, who is now a wonderful abstract Artist in the Atlanta area, worked in the hospital majority of his life in the Radiology Department where he performed X- Ray’s and Cat Scans which motivated me to want to work in the medical field especially when I used to see him wear his nice casual clothes with his lab jacket to work, the excitement I would get on my face seeing him with his white coat on was so motivational for me as a young black girl in America. Even though my dad has a huge impact on my life goals and decisions, through the motivation of his occupation, I’ve been in sports most of my life I played basketball, and only seen myself getting involved with Physical therapy for the most part after high school, nothing went as planned. I ended up dropping out of college, came home got a great job working at a Tsys Call center as a Mercury master credit card representative.
During COVID -19 in 2020 of September I decided I didn’t want to work for a company anymore especially with half the building catching covid and they still had us coming inside the office to work instead of going strictly remote. I decided starting my own business as a lash tech working outside of my home, the following year i decided to enroll into Aesthetician School and now im a medical aesthetician who is working on receiving her massage therapy license. it’s been four years since working outside of my parent home and i’m proud to say i found a suite in atlanta but working on finding a bigger space to run a clinical spa that treats all of the body’s specific needs and spa serviced.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
this has been a roller coaster trying to ellivate in life and running into a lot of other black owned business women that have tried to take advantage of me while i’m still in school or working to gain my license and even after its just sad to see how women envy each other instead of actually supporting one another with genuine intentions on building each other up.

it’s been more of how can they limit me within their scope of business or practice and it never starts off that way its always how it ends.

the support that i have gotten over the 4 years going on five has been honestly so amazing and unbelievable and i just wanted to thank all of my clients who have traveled out of state to come get serviced by me. I can honestly say i love and appreciate all of my clients they go over and beyond for me to have come this far especially through the slow months during the time i was in school and working different locations.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
