Today we’d like to introduce you to Quintin Hall
Hi Quintin, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started training in 2020, during the pandemic. I always had a passion for working out and thought I might as well start training now. People always asked me to train them when I was in college at Southern “University in Baton Rouge LA. During that time people were out of jobs and receiving stimulus checks from the government for being laid off or put on temporary leave with no pay. The economy was down and people would have never thought to try to create a business when you’re making “free money” from the government.
But I saw that time whilst we were getting “free money” as an opportunity to actually begin my business. I began from just recording myself doing workouts of my own regimen from my garage (no gyms were open). I did not get my first real client until six months of becoming a trainer. She definitely trusted the process and got the results that she worked for. Fast forward another six months I only had 3 consistent clients paying me to train them and after they reached their goals, of course, clients were popping in and out through out the months, but it was not enough to sustain any standard of living.
Now in the past 6 months I have trained over 100 athletes, won a state championship and have 3 region championships under my belt in track and field with my high school, Chapel Hill HS in Douglasville, GA. I would like to say I have had my successes training athletes in Douglas County. I have been training UFL star Justin Hall, my lil brother, since we were young and still til this day. I also have trained Greg “Pops” Dunson of the Alexander Cougars basketball team. The kid is a stud at his sport, ranking top 10 in the Class of 2026. Won state as a freshman when I first started training him and hit a game winning buzzer beater to take his team to win the State Title in 2023. I train Terrance Bowen, Oklahoma State University commit in Class of 2025, for baseball on full scholarship.
The list goes on with star studded athletes that I have trained and helped recover from previous injuries to come back and dominate in their sport but, those are only the highlights of my accolades. As this year continues to progress I hope to get more results to get more kids to the next level. The kids are who I do this for, the other stuff is just for you all to understand I’m about my business and will get the job done by any means.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely was not always a smooth ride. I had just went through a year of living check to check and barely able to pay rent with 3 roommates in one house. I started getting in my Bible heavy and relying on God for my journey from that point on. I definitely was the epitome of “fake it til you make it.” I did not show my struggle at all and persevered through all the controversy and started working out with athletes as well as personal train on the side. The way that all starts was I put out a deal to train for literally 40% off because I needed just anybody to hit my phone. Within the day, two new athletes messaged me asking to train within the week. On top of that, my whole credit statement was erased while trying to get all my finances together. If that is not God I dont know what else could have led to all of that at one time. This gave me the idea to stick to athletic training.
My story is not the worst but definitely not trying to compete for who has the sobbest story either.
As you know, we’re big fans of Totalbodyphysique LLC . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My organization is established solely to help people reach their health goals and performance goals. The genuineness of my motives and direct approach towards everyone no matter the age or circumstance keeps people engaged in training even after having a hard training day or hard day at work. I always try to be my honest self and sometimes it turns people away but it attracts a lot more people that actually want to get to there goals more than I do. I can definitely deal with those consequences. I am very young compared to most trainers at the level I am at. A lot of people say that they assumed I had been training for twice the amount of time I have based off how I move in the industry. I have talked to and worked with some of the biggest trainers and gym owners in the game for sure. Definitely trying to continue working my way up to becoming the best in the industry and have my own facilities to expand my outreach
I know what makes me stand out is my ability to get the job done and keep my athletes healthy throughout a whole season. I worked in a medical setting at Benchmark Physical Therapy for the first 2 years out of college and learned an array of exercise based recovery techniques. I am constantly researching and trying to grow into the best trainer I can be.
I specialize in:
– Injury Prevention/Recovery
– Personal training
– Athlete training
– Functional Training
– Self-myofascial Release techniques
– Life Coach
I am most proud of how much I help my clients develop outside of the sport and the gym by telling them the real deal and trying to correlate everything we do in the weight room, court, field, or track to situations they may face in life as a growing individual.
I am known for getting desired results for my clients in a short amount of time. I am most proud of the progress I see in my clients after working with me and being able to see them shine with their individual awards of their own.
In the next year I will be starting a track club that is for non-profit to continue developing kids for the future generation starting from the ages of 10 and up. I also provide personal development training for athletes and adults that just want to be in shape as well
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I feel like you need God first and foremost in all things and decisions you make. To persevere through the earthly things you need to have self- discipline and self-motivation to make it. Without those things you are going to get ate up and no one is going to save you but God. Keep your eyes on Him and he will give you those characteristics I just stated.
