Hi Jalisa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my brand back in 2017, I actually was inspired because I got tired of office jobs and wanted more for myself. I started I Spy Her online first shortly after I had a suite located in Akron, Ohio. We then added a location near the canton Ohio area. Our suite stayed open about 4 years and our store front stayed open about a year. During that time We wanted to expand out of state and open a second suite located in Atlanta, Georgia. That location stayed open about a year before I seen it was A-lot to juggle alone. I started selling bundles online only and soon grew to adding wigs then also adding installations so women can enjoy the luxury of a one stop shop. I also added makeup services and started to fall in love with the reactions. I looked forward to the end of each service just to see the smile and the enjoyment of giving my clients what they asked for. Once I started getting recognized for my great work ethic I started looking into Medical Grade wigs, I wanted to help men women and kids during the roughest time of their lives. I enjoy being a professional they can count on. My role as a Cranial Prothesis Specialist I provide wig units to clients suffering from hair loss due to a medical condition. Such as alopecia, cancer and more They can be reimbursed through their insurance or we can bill the insurance first and get the unit paid for upfront. Currently we are billing out of network and actively setting up contracts to be in be in network with most of our clients insurance providers. As of today we recently relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to further everything we started in Ohio.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This journey has not been easy or smooth at all and that alone can make you question if this is for you or not. Some of the obstacles I faced before I left was forcing myself to create creative content, I have to get up and still open my stores with little to no sales, juggling motherhood, I have had to balance school, working, entrepreneurship all at once, family matters, ending long term relationship & friendships, teaching myself everything about business from the services I provide to money management, staying mentally healthy & stable. Some of the challenges I face since I moved are building new clientele, looking for a new location, funding, missing old friends and business connections.

We specialize in natural wig installations. We provide natural glue-less wigs to women who enjoy the freedom of switching from style to style. We also provide medical grade wigs to men kids and women who stuffer from hair loss due to a medical condition. These units can be paid for through their insurance a-lot of the time and we handle all the billing to make the process easier. We also provide all the products you need for your glue-less wig unit like lace melting spray. Wax sticks, lace melting bands and more. Some of the things that sets us apart is we dont mind teaching others the process we even wrote a drop shipping e-book to explain how you can get started with any retail business including wigs and bundles or other retail products. Im most proud of continuing to strive for excellence! We have won awards and had and a you tube star client during our entrepreneurial journey.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Chances make champions you cant expect anything different to happen in your life if you continue to do the same things without ever taking a risk. I do suggest planning and making sure you do research. Im happy with my business even with the ups & downs I know my time is coming and everything I have endured I have also learned a-lot and I know I Spy Her is coming out on top.
