Hi Dj Chino, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Music has always been a big part of my life. As a child music was constantly being played in my house. As a teenager I started doing my friend’s parties with the little equipment I had and with some music I bought. The more I played the more my name spread around. I was getting requests to dj for weddings and birthdays, so this motivated me to take my Dj goals seriously. My distinctive style and love for the music took me to the next level.
By 1999 I bought my first set of turn tables, and I was updating my music weekly.
At this point, I felt more confident, and I was doing more serious events and playing at local clubs, concerts and car shows.
In 2003 I concentrated more on events rather than the club scene. I met my wife that same year and we decided to work together to follow my dreams.
Now I had taken an immense pride in my skills and passion for the music which has made me a very unique DJ. In 2005, my wife and I started a family-owned business that provides Dj services for any type of event. We really take the time to focus on the client and their needs to bring their vision to a reality. We are now both Djs. Our company name is Luma Event Professionals. We not only offer Dj services, we offer coordination , lighting, special effects, Photo Booth and more.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The dj industry is growing rapidly so the competition is a challenge. We try our best to provide the best service to all our clients and bring our experience and expertise to every event to create unforgettable moments every time we perform.
