Today we’d like to introduce you to Bobby Sox
Hi Bobby, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story started 24 years ago in a little town called Wakefield, in instead Jamaica. Our entire city knew nothing but poverty so as poor as my family was we never felt out of place. I was afforded the luxury of both parents so despite everything I didn’t have; love and affection was always present. Fast forward to 2015 I migrated to America and decided to do everything in my power to break generational curses, and as such I joined the military to fast track my independence and now I’m living in Atlanta grinding out the comedy circuit to make a name for myself and my family.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
the biggest struggles I’ve faced have been internal, self confidence and self doubt kept hindering me from doing everything that I knew needed to be done.

I’m a full time standup comedian in Atlanta, and one of the bridges between the Jamaican and American demographic. I think what sets me apart is my naturality. I’m unapologetically myself and I refuse to be put in a box that my predecessors have fallen in to.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
when my father used to bring me to do construction with him. the entire environment and work culture was a safe and principled environment that gave me all the tools I needed to survive in the world today.
