Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexa Hesse

Hi Alexa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
How to make a long story short, my journey started at Northside hospital growing through Atlanta as it grew itself. Ended up at Georgia Southern University as a Zeta Tau Alpha where I later realized I truly learned many of the skill sets I use today in life. I followed my exhusband to Kentucky for football but that came to a tragic ending 2013 that propeled me into a personal downward spiral for about 3-4 years. Through working a 9-5 at Wells Fargo, being a brand ambassador on the weekends, and being too into the night life I had realized it was time for change. 2017 was a year for that. I met a man who ended up taking me for all I had emtionally and financially (yet again) but did clear my mindset from the night life and brought me into the world of Body Building. Gaining confidence I quit my 9-5 and cleared a path to create the life I didn’t know I dreamed of… self employment freedom, financial stability, and a family. 2017 I started working for myself as a Health Insurance agent that rebranded later in its life to be InsuranceAlexa as it is today. While running full force within my first year of self employment I also began to compete for The WBFF where I won my Pro Status that November to then go on to become Miss Diva Fitness USA 2o21 right after having my son early 2019. Life is a blessing and I look forward to leaving it better then when I arrived.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smooth is a word that would be unfamiliar to me. Life has been filled with I wouldn’t say struggles but opportunites to learn, grow, and reflect. Nothing has been easy for me, from day 1, but as my friends say “if you put a challenge in front of her, she’ll crush it”. I am known to perservere through adversity. From divorce via infidelity, being jobless for months due to physical harassment from a manager with no company backing, growing up as a child model being bullied, the list goes on. But all of it has nothing but made me stronger and just want to dig in deeper within my community here in Smyrna, GA as well as my son and family.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

I am the local busy Bee that buzzes my way into coversation. Everyone knows me if they see a bee, as they will always hear me say “Let Me BEE Your Health Insurance Agent.” What I want my readers to know is that my priority is to take care of the client, the community, and the kids. Not only is a main goal of mine to take care of folks physically and finacially making sure they have the coverage that fits their needs, but I also give back. My time to give back through clients and my community means the world.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters to me the most is my son. I have the opportunity to show him how to give back, leadership, how to help others, what a positive hustle looks like and the list goes on. Being able to have my business and spill that into his life weaving it through has been the best experience yet in life. I was told 11 years ago I wasn’t going to be able to have children. I thank God everday for my 5 year old wild haired boy. As Geoffrey Schmidt, Senior Director at Atlanta Braves Braves told me today at a meeting. How are you Leaving A Legacy? Leave it better than we found it. He gets to see his Mother in action whether it is in the dugout as Team Mom, on the little league field as the only woman asst. coach last season, or at his Elementary schools open house not only doing his meet and greet but leading my business sponsor table for InsuranceAlexa. He sees what it takes to get to where he might want to be one day.
