Hi Katy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m a dedicated single mom of two building a photography business from the ground up. With my focus on wedding photography, I’m balancing the demands of parenthood while pursuing my passion. My business began back when my mother bought me my very own camera and from there my skills and knowledge have grown.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been rocky with trying to balance being a single mom on top of trying to build my business. Nothing too crazy thankfully.

What you should know is that I’m a very passionate photographer. The desire to learn and grow fuel me each day. From listening to podcast, to researching equipment or even just updating my website and guides. I’m always trying to improve.

As for my specialty, I’d say it would be photographing couples and capturing the genuine connection between people. I love to capture those candid moments.

I think the one thing that sets me apart is my genuine connection with clients. I make it a priority to understand their vision and provide a personalized experience. I also offer a flexible, budget-conscious approach, making professional photography accessible to couples who may be working within financial constraints.

In terms of what I’m most proud of when it comes to my brand, I would be proud of me. I’m proud of me for how far I have come and the work I’m creating with each session. Never did I think I would be achieving my dreams to becoming a wedding photographer, but here I am.

I want readers to know that my brand is about more than just photography. It’s about building trust and delivering an experience that reflects their love story. I offer customizable wedding photography packages, each designed to meet the unique needs of every couple. My goal is to provide exceptional service and stunning imagery that they can cherish for a lifetime.

Any big plans?
My plans for the future are to become a fully booked wedding photographer by the end of 2025. That includes getting a grasp on social media, growing my clientele, and creating a positive experience for my clients.
