Today we’d like to introduce you to Lexee Love
Hi Lexee, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have always wanted to be in the entertainment industry since I was a little girl. But I was shy. It wasn’t until I moved to Atlanta in 2002 and started my journey in 2003. It has been a rough journey, but I’m still here. I enjoy every moment of it. As of late 2024 my mindset of positive thinking has kept me going. Believing in myself. Being consistent and believing that my daily affirmations will come to past. I have been in a few projects that I’m excited about.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been smooth. But it teaches you patience and determination. To not allow yourself to get stagnant even when things aren’t happening everyday. Mostly the struggles come just waiting for that next project to audition. But I would say the struggles come from waiting. Even if you have a successful audition it’s still a waiting game.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Well first I’m an actress. But in this industry it’s great to be multifaceted. So I also write my own projects. I have learned to edit in post production. One of my favorite things in acting is improvisation. It’s a great way to learn how to think on your feet especially if you forget your lines. Currently I am turning a child series I wrote some years ago into an animation. It is a working process but it is something I always wanted to do. I’m very proud of my last two projects branches and siblings reunion. The shorts were admitted to film festivals across the United States and overseas. What I believe sets me apart is that I know this industry is for people that enjoy the long game. Even when it seems like nothing is going on I am patient and knowing the best comes to those that want it!
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
It’s hard to say overall. Even if the AI movement becomes more popular. Nothing can change the human experience. There will always be a need for real stories with real people and real emotions. I think we look at money as the priority. And that seems to be setting the trend to go AI.
